Quakebook on sale now

This is the moment we have all been dreaming about and working so hard for: 2:46 - Aftershocks: Stories from the Japan Earthquake is now on sale. Let me rephrase that.

The Kindle ebook is available to buy from anywhere in the world at Amazon.com or Amazon.co.uk. You don't even need a Kindle. Just go to the order page and download (for free) a Kindle reader for your Mac, PC or smart phone.

The book is $9.99. In some cases, the price may be quoted as $11.99 for international customers. But Amazon has assured Quakebook that any international handling fees will be reimbursed.

Every single penny that you spend on Quakebook will go directly to the Japanese Red Cross. Nothing for Amazon, nothing for Quakebook. Everything for the survivors of the Japan disasters.

I'd just like to say two things:

1. Well done everyone involved in this, I'm so proud of all of you.
2. Buy the book, and tell the world to buy the book.

It makes a difference. You make a difference.

Our Man in Abiko

  1. Good Man, may we copy (and slightly edit) this post to our own, respective blogs, facebooks and whatnotelse?

  2. Purchasing as I type this. Job well done to everyone involved.

  3. Minna-sama, hontouni otsukaresama deshita! m(_ _)m

Ano.. pardon my lack of knowledge but will this be available anywhere else? I'm not too familiar with Amazon and I don't think it allows me to pay using my Paypal account..

  4. great work! Will the book be coming out in paper form too or just digital?

  5. I'm just reading this now. Very well done. thanks for all the hard work. Those whose lives have been affected will be positively affected by this!

  6. :( Amazon.com says "Due to copyright restrictions, the Kindle title you're trying to purchase is not available in your country: Netherlands." :(
Could you please extend the copyrights to Europe as well? (Amazon.co.uk doesn't 'ship' kindle books to the mainland either)

  7. Looking forward for a printed copy!

  8. Will there be a print version? I don't do kindle.

  9. Should be able to buy Quakebook from Amazon.com anywhere in the world. We have raised problems that folk in the Netherlands and in parts of Asia have had. We are waiting for them to get back to us.

I bought my copy from the .com and I'm in Japan.

If you don't have a Kindle, please consider downloading a free player, as I did for my iphone, from Amazon - good for PCs and Macs. And you can see the book and artwork in colour.

We are hoping to do a print version, but there are a lot of costs with print, so this may take a while to figure out. My advice? Buy the Kindle version now and buy the print version when we can get one made.

It's for a good cause, you know.
